ENGLISH Classes through SPORT’ 4 – INSPIRING COMMUNICATIONS 46: Feb 7th, 2025:: Elementary School 4 – ACTIVE and HAPPY – 5th GRADERS with INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS of TIAS2.0.
To quote 5th Batch student Divya Agrawal–
“I had the unique opportunity to visit Sakuragaoka Elementary School to interact in English with the fifth-grade students in Inashiki city located in Ibaraki prefecture. We played two games designed to stimulate their minds into recognizing consonants and vowels and making words out of them. I found that the school’s infrastructure was very different from the ones back home. Other than the cleanliness and discipline, I experienced the cultural aspects of the school. Kids were taught to clean up after themselves and recycle their lunches properly. Lunchtime and playing with the students were a delightful experience for me because the kids were eager to interact and learn from my batch mates and me”.
Otsukaresama desu – ALUMNI (GSI-TAIIKU-UT) NETWORK Thank you INASHIKI-CITY and ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS and CHILDREN, and Koichiro Doihata (TAIIKU ALUMNI) and Atsumi Shigematsu & TIAS2.0 – International Students Rodrigo Furlan – Rodrigo Furlan Oshin Pukhrambam (and Claudia Buitron Miki Toyoda) (Mexico-Nepal-Mongolia-Japan) (and missed you this time Yuto Nakamura-all the best for the internship).
“By using English through sports, kids can speak/listen in real-life situations (situations where necessity or purpose arises depending on the surrounding situation), rather than simply inputting/outputting knowledge” 「一般社団法人スポーツプロモーションいばらき」 – Sports Promotion Ibaraki General Incorporated Association -× MAGIC: Society for Investing in Practical Communication Learning and Mentoring by ‘INSPIRING COMMUNICATIONS’ (「実践的なコミュニケーション学習とメンタリングへの投資を目的とした協会」「MAGIC」) /
