2024 – INSPIRING COMMUNICATIONS 17 – ‘Connecting KANSAI & KANTO’ and ‘NURTURING CHILDREN through ENGLISH x SPORTS – CHEZA (SPORT ALUMNI NETWORK – EAST AFRICA SPORTS ACADEMY Project 1)

Mr. Masahiro MORI studies in the TIAS 2.0 visited GLORTS ACADEMY that teaches sports by using English in Kobe city, Hyogo Prefecture. After introductions of the concepts and programs by Mrs. Amemiya, he joined one lesson and trained kids together with other coaches. Kids became familiar with him soon and enjoyed interacting.

The GLORTS ACADEMY is a sports academy that is operated by the CHEZA, L.L.C. that Prof. RAKWAL Randeep (TIAS 2.0, TAIIKU, UT) acts as an advisor. Foreign coaches and Japanese coaches with extensive overseas experience teach sports programs in English that are suited to the children’s growth. This year, the academy has about 100 kids of 2 to 10 years old at 4 schools in KOBE. The CHEZA accepts STUDENT INTERNSHIPS, including ‘COACHING EXPERIENCES’ at the GLORTS ACADEMY.

神戸を拠点に展開する英語×スポーツ教室「GLORTS ACADEMY」・岡本校を、TIAS 2.0に在籍する大学院生・森雅浩さんが視察訪問しました。メインコーチの雨宮（あめみや）氏からGLORTS ACADEMYのコンセプトやプログラムについて説明を受けた後、実際にレッスンに参加し、他のコーチと共に子供たちにスポーツ指導を行いました。子供たちも新しいコーチとすぐに馴染み交流を楽しんでいました。

GLORTS ACADEMYは、TIAS 2.0のRAKWAL Randeep教授が顧問を務める合同会社CHEZA（チェザ）が運営する２歳児〜小学４年生を対象としたスポーツアカデミーです。外国人コーチや海外経験豊富な日本人コーチらが子どもたちの成長に合ったスポーツプログラムを英語で指導しており、開校して2年半の今年度は、神戸市内4校で100名程度の生徒を抱えています。 なおCHEZAでは、GLORTS ACADEMYでのコーチング体験を含む学生インターンシップを受け入れています。
