2024 SPORTS ALUMNI (GSI-TAIIKU-TIAS2.0-IDS) NETWORK 13 – INSPIRING COMMUNICATIONS 35: Tokyo 2020 Olympic ‘HOST TOWN’ Anniversary 3rd INDIA CUP was held in KUROBE CITY on Sept 21st, 2024” –

Thank you Kurobe City (TOYAMA prefecture, Japan) and Board of Education and Sports Division and the Archery Association for organizing the ARCHERY event, attended by around 125 ARCHERS from beginners to elite.

The event was opened by the Mayor of Kurobe city, Yoshikazu TAKEKUMA and guests from the Kurobe city and Toyama prefecture. Honourable Ambassador of India to Japan H.E. Sibi GEORGE extended his warm greetings to the Archers and people of Kurobe in a message read at the opening ceremony. Prof. Rakwal (University of Tsukuba, TAIIKU-TIAS2.0) attended the event and opening ceremony thanking Kurobe city for continuing the India Cup as a legacy of the Tokyo 2020 Games and the Host Town Initiative, truly a SFT LEGACY, and connecting India and Japan through SPORT.

Thank you TIAS ALUMNI – Dhandapani Chokkain, SAI (Sports Authority of India) & TIAS2.0 Alumni Anirban Chakraborty for research on Host Town and their outcomes, one of his research area was Kurobe Host Town.
